General Expectations for All Scenarios
Stability Requirements
- The connection must remain stable for the full duration of the deployment
- No scheduled maintenance during operating hours
- No periodic restarts of networking equipment
Security Requirements
- We do not permit forced captive portals on our devices
- We do not permit forced network scanning of our equipment
- We require the ability to operate with consistent IP addressing if needed
Environmental Requirements
- Networking equipment must remain in a dry space with controlled temperature
- No storage of liquids near exposed cables or devices
- All cables must be gaffer taped or secured to prevent tripping hazards
Communication Requirements
- Any changes to the network environment must be communicated to us immediately
- We must be informed if the venue or supplier introduces new security or filtering settings
- Provide a channel for escalation if the network becomes unstable
Pre-Deployment Checklist
Please complete the following before we arrive:
- [ ] Confirm which network scenario applies (A, B, or C)
- [ ] Provide all required contact details
- [ ] Verify that the modem or handoff is accessible
- [ ] Test upstream internet performance
- [ ] Confirm that no DNS filtering or firewall rules interfere with our services
- [ ] Ensure that a technician or contact person is available during load-in
Installation Checklist
We will go through this list upon arrival:
- [ ] Confirm that the expected equipment is in place
- [ ] Verify upstream connectivity
- [ ] Run latency, packet loss, and throughput tests
- [ ] Confirm that all wired drops are active
- [ ] Check power availability
- [ ] Document cable routes
Post-Deployment & Ongoing
For events and temporary exhibitions:
- Performance logs and post-deployment report provided on request
- Recommendations for future deployments
For permanent installations:
- Ongoing remote monitoring of network health and VR streaming quality
- Scheduled maintenance coordination (monthly or quarterly windows)
- Escalation contacts and SLA for network issues
- Periodic performance reviews and optimization recommendations
